Mick Wingert sounds exactly like Jack Black
I can't believe how much Wingert sounds like Black. Anyone else surprised? He is the voice of Po, not Black, right?

Hey,
Of cause it is not Black, he is a bankable movie star, and when there is spinoff series, the main actor never does it. However, this gentleman is spot on! How does he do it? Did he sound like Black before, or just spend hour listening to his recording, to capture his voice?

I'm not sure how easy it was for him to do a great impression of Jack Black, or how long he's been doing so, but he surely DOES. The voices being so similar to the originals allows me to take this show more seriously than I otherwise could. Bravo!

That's funny you mention it. I babysit for our neighbors and they kept telling my kids "my uncle does Po's voice in the show" my kids did NOT believe them at all, they bet them they weren't telling the truth.... I looked it up and sure enough. I asked their mom later when she got home, and yep, it's their uncle. LOL Dude fooled everyone here. He's pretty talented.

He does Jack Black BETTER then Jack Black... really, after watching most of the episodes over the last few months (got a 6 year old at home who loves it) we rented Kung Fu Panda 2 the other day. I was thinking to myself how Jack Black really has the charicter down now in the show, and how he's funnier in the show then in the movies. Then I came here and found it that the show ISN'T Jack Black at all! It's like the impression of him is better then the real him... funny stuff!
sharejust goes to show how overrated having bunch of movie stars doing the voice works for animated movies when professional voice actors could've done the same for fraction of the pay, but obviously regular 'no name' voice actors don't draw audiences like having 20 stars in the single movie (although most of them only have a line or two each)

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings.
I came here to double check the credits because he sounds just like Jack Black.
