$16 Million budget? Why not make a Clueless sequel? DUH

Seriously? This movie cost MORE than it cost to make Clueless and wasn't even half as good. Yes it had a few OK moments but for $16 Million why not just make a sequel to one of the most succesful teen comedy movies of all time? Clueless cost $12 Million and grossed over $77 million at the box office. You live and learn Amy!

I'm not sure they'll ever touch a Clueless sequel with Brittany Murphy dead...and Stacey Dash a crazy Repub!

If this movie really cost 16 mln $ then I truly don’t understand distribution strategy… With very limited theatrical release (it is being showed only on 1 screen!) and followed by DVD/BR release how they want to make that money back? I am not judging whether the movie is good or bad but I am challenging the way how they are wasting talents involved in this production. Very weird.

$16 Million is nothing these days !! and $12 Million for Clueless remember was 17 years ago inflation anyone ???

reply

Adjust for inflation and the budget for Clueless is about twice as much as Vamps.

According to the box office report on IMDB, Vamps made less than $3000 at the box office, which means that it lost $15,997,000. I doubt that we'll ever see a Vamps II.

No Clueless sequel!

Kramer: ...he was very impressed with what I do.
Elaine: What you do? You don't do anything!
