It was awesome!

I saw them perform this show last Friday night at Roger's Arena in Vancouver, it was incredible, they are without a doubt the very best rock musicians in the world, all three of them were amazing, but Pert was especially insane. 40 years they've been together! And I think they've been around even longer than that technically, haven't they? I thought they formed by in the 1960's, not the mid-70's.

A great concert, I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance, it's one of the best I've ever seen. These guys are rock gods and are not to be missed by anyone who really enjoys great music. Get yourself a concert t-shirt when you do, I've worn it a few times in the week since and a lot of people stop to ask about it.

Thanks for listening and the feedback! Rush was formed in 1968 so they've been going at it awhile now. All three of them playing and making that sound was incredible to see live. One of the legends that will go out on top!

The current line-up was formed in late July 1974 and that is why it is the R40(+1) Tour.

They sounded good during the concert I saw them at. I was somewhat disappointed with their choice of some songs for the setlist though. The ones early in the show were so predictable. The many instrumentals and long songs with limited lyrics spaced out throughout the show was probably due to Geddy trying to save his voice.

Too many shorter older songs they could have played and didn't. Though it wasn't as bad as the mis-named Time Machine tour for a poorly thoughout setlist IMHO.

I was surprised by the 1st half of their set personally, there was a few songs I don't ever remember hearing before which was nice (it's always a treat to hear new Rush and they have such a huge catalogue, could be I simply didn't remember some of the songs) but the 2nd half of their concert in Vancouver was predictably awesome! I knew every song from the 2nd half of their concert; they did the entire 1st track of 2112 (something like 18 minutes long), Tom Sawyer, Spirit of Radio, YYZ, Cygnus X-1 (another very long song), Closer to the Heart (such a beautiful song) and lots of their other big popular stuff.

Hearing The Temples of Syrinx played live and played perfectly by Rush was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life. I love that whole 2112 album, it's one of my favourites from any band and Rush nailed it, they're so impressive live.
