Kill Me Now.

I haven't seen this and can't because I don't live in the States, but Harret the Spy is one of my favourite childhood movies. And they did this to it?! Honestly what is wrong with people and what were they thinking? I really hate it when people decide to do a follow up to a movie and then ruin it by not even making an effort to think about what the first one was really about before making the second one. The fact that they relate it to the first one just gives it a really bad impression.

You don't have to die, just never ever ever watch this movie if you really love Harriet the Spy!!!!!
Just watched it, I didn't think it would be great really (don't expect much from Disney nowadays), but this was beyond horrible. I love the 1996 movie Nickelodeon did, it was like after watching it you could go out and be a spy too, all you needed was a big coat to store all your household "spy gear" :D But with this she was a horrible spy and had way too much technology, which made it really boring I think. They should have made it it's own film not even related to HTS sure people might have pointed out similarities but who cares at least they wouldn't have ruined it.
Also the fact that none of the kids looked like normal kids, in the Nic version they all looked real not overly styled. Harriet & co looked and acted like all the other kids...

Yes yes yes I totally know what you mean!! I used to eat tomato sandwiches all the time after I watched it. Nowadays they glamourise everything and it's really annoying especially when they're remaking good kids' movies. I agree it was all about the gadgets but now they have to go OTT with technology. The association with the 96 movie is good for them but not for the original HTS.

I feel your pain as well. I almost teared. The classic one had humour heart and convincing dramatic tension for a kids movie. NOw this..... I do not know what to say honestly, it hurts. It really does hurt. Leave it to disney to pull another turd like this. Again I can not find the words cause I am in awe.
