I think with the episodes without the mother, it was much better. I like seeing Terry Crews as a single father. I'm sure it's been done before, but it's a cute show. Gigi could switch to be his sister instead of his wife's assistant.

Two questions.

If the wife is gone on a business trip, shouldn't the assistant be with her too?

The daughter has this friend named Kelly, but has anyone seen the girl? We see the boy's friend all the time. I remember one episode when the daughter has a house party and it sucked, her friend wasn't even there. Can anyone explain?

Not necessarily. I don't get that Gigi is her "assistant" like a personal assistant. I think that Gigi and she work together (although Gigi may work for her). So depending on WHAT the business is - she may very well go alone and Gigi may be doing work for other clients they have since they plan weddings.

However I think that was when Essence was pregnant and I don't necessarily think those episodes were funnier.

Now that you mention it I don't think they ever showed the daughter with a female friend her age. Not sure why.
