I am intrigued by the few words on the plot that I've read, but am concerned this might be a british politically-correct rubbish, and I'd like to avoid watching that at all costs.

shareIt’s 2012, I think we’ve moved beyond the meaningless concept of “political correctness”.
In any event, the film has brilliant writing, moving performances, and a unique intensity.
If you are asking about the political perspective of the film, it’s debatable but in my view fair to label the film anti-war. Still it would certainly be a mistake to avoid this film (or indeed any film) just because you expect to disagree with the political viewpoint of the filmmaker.
100% PC/Communist propaganda: female empowerment, disparagement of males, anti-family, pro-Islam, anti-gun
shareIt is a British take on the same themes as many of the post-vietnam films that explored the after-effects on normal life of having served in the conflict.
It is quite an intimate drama following one female soldier's story on her return to civilian life.
