funniest line ever!

I loved how the 80's turtles always broke the 4th wall and talked to the audience. then there was the scene where michalangelo i think it was talk to us and hun came up and looked at us then yelled, "who are you talking to??? there is no one there!!!" man i laughed for about 10 minutes. i am glad they added that. the 2k3 turtles never broke the 4th wall that i remember. the the old turtles did all the time. it was a nice touch to have a villain from 2k3 notice and question it.

I think that was definitely the cleverest line in the movie. I hated the movie and still thought it was funny.

It was Raph not Mike

Funniest line to me was when one of the 03 Turtles asked '87 April what was up with the yellow jumpsuit. "Did you work at a car wash or something?" I thought the film bagged on the older series too much and made them completely incompetent and that got on my nerves but that was a hilarious line.

Too bad the original 80's voices couldn't do the show. It would have been great to hear Rob as Raph again.

They used to do that all the time in the 80's show.

There's one episode where Shredder says to Raphael "This is the last time you're ever going to see me!!!" and Raph says..."Awwwww...you're leaving the show?!"

I love that they break that fourth wall.

I love the sheer ridiculousness of the monsters that they save 80s April from, especially the mutant banana.

Yeah, I haven't that hard in a while, when Hun got annoyed with 1988 Raph's breaking of the fourth wall. I think I rewatched that scene like 20 times the first time I watched this movie.
"Why do you keep doing that?!?! Who are you talking to?!?! THERE'S NO ONE THERE!!!" LMFAO!

I used to love all the "breaking the 4th wall" jokes from the 1980s TMNT. (I think it was mainly Raph, right? or did the othrs ever do it too?)

My absolute favourite 4th wall gag from the 80s cartoon was when one of the other turtles says "Look! Shredder's secret hideout must have been in that abandoned warehouse over there!"

and Raph says (in a slow deadpan monotone): "What - a - brilliant - and- totally - unexpected - hiding - place"

(I'm paraphrasing from a 20 yr old memory here!)

Raphael may have been the one who became the most well-known for breaking the fourth wall, but - believe it or not - DONATELLO was the first one to do it.

After the Turtles first meet April and go on the hunt for Shredder, they find a matchbox from a (get this) "Ninja Pizza Parlour". While Raphael and Donatello realize that this is what will set them on the right track to their goal, Michelangelo is (naturally) quick to point out that its a place where they can get some pizza.

April volunteers to go along with them, sensing a news story in the making. However, Donatello stops her and points out how dangerous it is, adding that she "wouldn't last five minutes in a Ninja Pizza Parlour" before addressing the fourth wall and adding "I love saying lines like that".

We all have our problems, some just hide it better.
