Filmmaker debut mistakes

I checked out the trailer which looks per se, but there is nothing we haven't seen realized a hundred times - meaning the flick will turn into a snoozefest for most of us.
Good photography and cinematrography; probably shot on a RED camera system. Decent idea for the script.

Film-makers should realize to never go beyond 80minutes runtime, unless they are doing exceptional ($$$) movies
- For a debut like this 70minutes runtime would be great.
- chemistry buildup between the initial characters is key, otherwise most scenes will just feel gratuitous
- Appease the target audience; in this case some kick-ass CGI, rotoscoping is necessary and a few "key-scenes" - it is all very affordable nowadays.
