After the episode credits where Arnie Schreder retired, they showed a small graphic that he had actually died days before the episode aired. Now they are showing episodes that occur before he died.
He was the only one who made this show worth watching and deserved better.
Of course his friends and family now much less than you do about it.

My point is, I would have never known about his death if I hadn't DVR'd the show coming on AFTER Ice Pilots because their lovely tribute didn't appear till after the credits. How much trouble would it have been for the editors to remove 1 minute from the show and his friends at Buffalo throw in a personal message to the fans, because he did and does have fans.
The main reason I kept on watching the show when it was on Nat. Geo (in the States) was because of Shreder and the mission to fly the water bombers across the pond. If the plan now is to focus on the McBride family, I don't think this stint on the weather channel will keep this series alive.
They did do a tribute episode a few weeks ago.
