AMC's Mayfair Witches is officially CERTIFIED ROTTEN on RT!

VERY interesting....

After the OVERWHELMINGLY GLOWING reviews that AMC's woke "re-imagining" of Interview with a Vampire got (it scored damn near PERFECT with the critics!), its immediate followup series is getting utterly wretched reviews in comparison. Season 1 currently sits at a pathetic 42% score on RT.

My guess is AMC blew their ENTIRE WAD buttering up the critics with Interview (which explains all the insane "10/10" reviews, weeks BEFORE the show had even aired!), trying to create an artificial "buzz" for the show, that they had absolutely no $$$ left to spend on propaganda promoting Mayfair Witches. Thus, we're getting entirely HONEST reviews about Mayfair, judging the show solely on its own merits (or lack thereof).

Doesn't bode well for AMC's plans to create some godawful "Anne Rice universe" and re-imagine ALL her book characters and plots in order to pander to the present-day SJWs.

The story is definitely "UNWOKE" due to the way that it's about women who are seduced by an "inhuman creature" for several generations so that HE can be BORN (very much like the way that the other creature who seduced Mia Farrow's character was born in ROSEMARY's BABY).

Since I also have the WITCH book & read it several years ago, and the story is sticking to the PLOT in the book, it's also INVALID to try and claim that the story has been "RE-IMAGED" in order to pander to some fictional SUBGROUP of people that don't even actually exist. 🙄

So a BIG BRAVO to you Effie for calling out the OP for the SILLY kind of BS that they've posted here about the show.
