After cutting the nerve...

I'm not a student of medicine but I would think so. With the way the nerves seem to branch out you'd think that any sensations he'd lose from what he did would be "down stream" of the nerve he cut.

He wouldn't feel sensations from the distal piece, but would still feel the proximal part of the arm.
