Our book club read the book, and hope the film is just as good. So often movies made from novels are terrible, but some are very good; Revolutionary Road and Atonement come to mind.
shareJust so you know, Ian MacEwan panned the movie Atonement. He thought the overly sentimentalized 2nd half of the movie was atrocious. For what it's worth, I enjoyed both the book and the movie, although I must say the book was better.
