Suggestions for 2011!!

1. Restore the Honorary Awards. It's good to see the film greats revel in their moment (and just because someone is over 70 does not mean they are going to drop dead on the stage. Bob Boyle got one at 98 and is still going!).

2. Restore the Best Song performance. Sure, the days of LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDOURED THING are long gone but every so often a gem shines thru. Or a truely awful performance causes us to titter (Ann Reinking AGAINST ALL ODDS?).

3. Drop Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, and Jennifer Anniston. Who the hell are they? Does anyone see their movies?? Get Angie Dickinson, Kim Novak, and Raquel Welch instead! Someone needs to show class...

I say let the winners speeches run on. This is their moment, give it to them.

Cut out all the junk - I mean, who wants a tribute to animals in the movies?

I don't know why everyone clamours for more clips. Show me something new! I'd rather a cheesy production number than more stale clips.

I just hate these lousy tributes. At least if you're going to have a tribute, making for something original. This past year was great when they had a tribute to horror films.
