Which would you have picked?
"Avatar" was a great entertainment but "The Hurt Locker" was the more important film. Both were astonishingly original so it is hard to choose between them.

Avatar orginal?????? Heck, "The Hurt Locker" hands down, in fact any of the 9 other nomonies is vastly superior to Avaturd. I'd even choose "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" over Cameron blue abonimation.

Definitely The Hurt Locker. I agree Agui, I too would have picked any of the other 9 nominees over Avatar. I really didn't feel Avatar deserved the nomination. It was eye candy and nothing more. I'm not bashing it or anything, I enjoyed Avatar and thought it was entertaining, but in no way deserving of any Academy Award except for the awards in special effects.
