Its actually better on a second viewing *spoilers*

I won't say I loved the film, but it is much better on a second viewing. Yes, it badly needed more character development and editing, but I think the reason that
I and many people didn't like it at all at first was because its not the kind of film they thought they were renting.
It was almost a film-student-type movie, and I think people were expecting more of a more mainstream film.

The film is very atmospheric and the makeup jobs were phenomenal, as was the palpable sadness portrayed by the lead actress. The choice of music was excellent also.A bit less emphasis on the murders and gore would have been nice too. It was too graphic, and didn't help us understand Rachel more. We knew she was beyond furious, and why.
I also would have really liked to know: Did Rachel end up in an institution after killing her mother? Are we to assume that she was, and was released?
Who was the girl under the table? Why did Rachel have blonde hair when she killed those people?
This film does leave an impression I must admit. So it did succeed on some levels.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
