Any good?

Hi, is this game any good? Is it easy to play, by easy I mean skyrim type play not The Witcher type, which I found far to complicated! Any feed back would be great. thanks

All right, that's it! No more Mr. Nice Gaius!

the controls are closer to Witcher than Skyrim but really not that much like either. if you play on one of the easier difficulty modes you can safely ignore all the tactic options and it's just a case of targeting and picking abilities/spells

as for whether the game is good, personally I'd say it's the best modern RPG ever. the DLCs, expansion and sequel are all decent and worth playing too, but not up to the standards of Origins

I'm a fan of Origins and DA2. I consider them to be two of the best games I've ever played.

In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.

Its a great game...very engaging. I do not anticipate playing it every way possible but enough to feel very satisfied. I played is as an entirely good guy..and then one who wanted power and didn't mind getting his hands dirty.

Spoilers:

I didn't recruit Sten or Leilana from that town as I found his pessimist pragmatism and arrogance a drag and her lower standards to be beneath me...so I allowed them to remain there and die when the horde came. The fairy elf I recruited to unlock items but kept it on the low side so I could kill him later on. I created a massive army of werewolves, golems, and templars (go CHANTRY!) while I became the new king. I made sure the ashes were found and the dragon guarding It was killed and ensured the chantry spread through the Dwarven lands as well. In a way, the world fell under a firm hand of order with the guidance of the noble Chantry; a happy ending if there ever was one :)
