The book is pretty awful

The writing style is mediocre and I find it hard to believe it was written by an actual robotics engineer. It feels like it could have bee written by a high school teen who did a bit of Googling. I don't understand why on Earth Steven Spielberg bought the movie rights to this garbage (maybe because the title sounds kind of cool?) Bah, I got about two thirds of the way reading it and stopped. Hopefully Spielberg makes significant changes to the story.
