Best Movie YOU CAN'T SEE

... unless you check into a hotel with in-room HD.

I'm dying to see this.

It's only been out a month, but already can't find it in a single theater anywhere.

Can I go to Yahoo Movies and find a theather near me playing it?
Nope.

How about the movie's website telling me where I might find it someday?
Nope.

Is it on Verizon FIOS Pay Per View?
Nope.

HDNet (known for occassionally showing first-run features)?
Nope.

Itunes?
Nope.

Other legitimate download site?
Nope.

DVD or Blu-Ray?
Nope.

So let's review.

A brand-new theatrical release that I can't see anywhere, unless I check into a hotel room and pay $16.99 plus tax, or download it illegally from a site in Uruguay?

This is 2010, right?

Nice going, dumbasses.

Yep. The distribution on this film is sad. Unfortunately, although Gibney's work is much harder to pick apart than anything Michael Moore has done, he doesn't carry as much weight or box office clout. It looks like one of the most important documentaries in recent years is DOA in terms of first run theaters. It looks like downloading it may be the only option for awhile.

It finally came out here in Dallas this weekend. I've waited for it for a LONG time. limited releases and only played at festivals. What a shame as this is much better than Moore's type of sloppy work.

It's coming out on DVD in September.

And I just watched it this evening. Quite interesting, and I remembered him getting the stage hook at that convention because he didn't read the prepared speech.

I'll happily send this docu to anybody that PMs me - all I ask is that you cover postage...

Looks like I picked the wrong day to quit shootin' smack...

I got it from my local library. It's now also available on Amazon (& probably many other, such sites.)

Maybe it's distribution isn't great because the movie isn't great. Actually I found it at my public library. It's disappointing. Tons of interviews, great soundtrack and technical quality, but I get the idea the filmmaker knows nothing about what kind of person he's talking about. It's all a stance
