No Country ...

,,, For Old Men (2007) ... nice try. Suspenseful, but lacking IMO in plot, performance and above all character(s). Now if Yoda from Star Wars V (1980) or even Burt Reynolds from Deliverance (1972) came to save the day, maybe?

But if anything was redeeming in this movie is that "murder" or even an accidental one, is worth consideration.

Wow, really ?? This movie was so good. None of the usual Hollywood BS, and it was nothing like Okd Country for old men. I swear I don't know what people think is good anymore. I'm not saying it's the greatest film or belongs in the top 250, but a 5.8 I feel is absurd. Can't rely on IMDb ratings to watch anything anymore. The past few films I went to the theater to see based on fairly high ratings were all so stupid, and sucked.

I rated it a 4. The acting was good but everything else was awful. The actors sounded nothing like West Virginians. Many have a slight drawl but a lot of people have no real accent at all. I know because I was born and raised there. The landscape also looked nothing like WV. The audio was awful. The talking was extremely quiet and then a gunshot would about blow you out of your chair. The movie was also just too predictable. It was obvious John trusted the wrong person from the beginning.
