This film made me cringe many many times with it's clearly awful attempts at portraying a British "footballer".
I can't remember all of them, but little things like winning medals, we don't we win trophies, and wanker is a swear word. It's like saying to your kids let go and beat these little ****s.
I'd imagine it was the script writers as Butler would have a better handle on things, and wouldn't talk like that during his commentary videos. Ehhhh it was awful, "here's Landon Donovan with a great attack"" ehhh.

Technically, the players do receive medals for winning championships, the club gets the trophy.

I actually liked that. Few people will know the word, so that was just George's way to dirty up the game without anybody knowing. It's like censorship here at IMDb: Twat is allowed, *beep* is not.

It was awfully unrealistic that the Scottish footballer went through the whole movie and always say Soccer instead of Football, something he would swear by is the correct name for the sport.

Yep, that one irked me also. Even if he knew the U.S. calls the game soccer you would have thought that he would have slipped football every once in awhile.

They would as it is an English word.

Association Football was shortened to Soccer to differentiate it from Rugby Football.

It's that man again!!
