Lost Mirandas loyalty?!

I sided with Jack after her loyalty mission, expecting to be able to make a paragon charm to resolve the situation. I wasn't given the option, and despite having a full paragon bar, and a nearly empty renegade bar, I can't make it up with Maranda anymore?! Any help out there?

Reload the game to an earlier point before you did whichever loyalty mission triggered the argument. (Hers or Jack's)

Failing that, you might be able to boost your paragon bar by using the skills adjustment in Mordin's lab. One of the character options gives better persuasion points than the other.

Or you could play on, doing as much to boost your meter and try talking to her again. If you can get the bar high enough, you may be able to bring her around.

If you've got a full bar but can't persuade her, that sounds like a glitch.

If you can't win her over, but want her to live through the final battle, just don't take her on the final battle, or make sure she's got a lot of tough support when holding the line. (Other than that, she's fairly hard to kill on the final mission anyhow.)

The weirdest thing happened in my latest playthrough of Mass Effect 2. I was only able to choose the intimidate option despite having a higher paragon rating during that scene.

I don't know why

Safety? Where the fvck is that?

The paragon and renegade points needed are not equal for every choice.

It's a ratio, and Renegade's ratio is also significantly lower. They compare the amount of Paragon/Renegade you have to the amount of Paragon or Renegade you could possibly have at that point. If you're above the required ratio, it unlocks. And as said, Renegade's required ratio is significantly lower which makes it much easier to unlock and utilize that option.
