Disappointed

I really love the first film. It scared me so much as a teen. I rewatched it this year, and it really held up for me. The second film is just silly. It's so much a reflection of the time period, and so bad it's funny/good.

But man, this film is just a total flop for me. I found it incredibly boring and all the characters quite annoying. Everything just felt so cliche.

P.S. I miss IMDb message boards :(

I just saw this movie and was disappointed too. The jump scares were just silly. Every five minutes someone jumps into frame. The other characters are scared every time even tho they should have heard them coming long before. I could've accepted this happening a couple of time (I'd rather not, tbh) but what seemed like 20 times throughout the film is just lazy writing.

This.

It was really terrible. The whole atmosphere looked poor, the characters lacked any likeability and most off all, the story failed in every way. It was very boring. It failed where the first one succeded.

I would go and say it was worse that the second one. Hard to believe when you see that they are the same directors.

And also the witch. FFS! She looked like the monster from Rec 1! Very similar.

A sad end to a really scary saga.

PS: Hear, hear with the IMDB boards :(

It was just really...flat to me.

I didn't hate anyone, but I didn't like anyone. I didn't find it actively obnoxious but I didn't find it particularly pleasant either. Never scary, but not really boring. Just middle of the road all the way through until the end, which was kind of stupid ("hey, my friend was just killed after acting like he heard something! Better turn now that I think I heard something!").

Yeah the first movie was groundbreaking and had such an unnerving feel to it ....

Kinda had high hopes for this one but wow what a let down ... that's surely the end to this franchise ... pity it had to end on such a disappointment :(

Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking. I think knowing it was Heather’s brother I thought there might have been potential for them to somehow actually SEE heather and rescue her. I knew it was a super far fetched idea but then so is the entire plot. It was disappointing to see a rehash basically of the first one. At least the second one, which I hated, was a different plot.
