If No One In the Immortal Hillard's Group or Immortal Hillard himself have ever seen past December 2012, then how does Hillard have the technology to build the spaceship Endeavor or the know how to build a Moon Base? Had we made more progress in the original timeline? Confusion!

Its been a while since I saw the movie but I believe the original Hillard made alot of scientific breakthroughs in the 50's or so, and because of him, his time line was far ahead of our current one. He went to the moon and found the mysterious gem which powered his time machine.
