What Do You Think Of Alfred Ashford and Steve's Voices In This Game?

I'm asking since they are very different from their voices in RE: Code Veronica.

What do you think of them here?

I think Steve was a major improvement in Darkside Chronicles compared to Code Veronica, much less irritating and less-cheesy voice acting.

I think, however, Alfred's voice acting in Code Veronica was better just because he seemed all that more insane actually. I don't know it just seemed to me that the Alfred in Darkside Chronicles was someone doing an impression of a mad person as opposed to him seeming genuinely mad in code veronica.

Code Veronica Alexia was also far far better, Darkside Chronicles Alexia seemed far too girlish as the poster before me said, lost a lot of her menace and presence that she had in Code Veronica.

I do love how, as with Resi 2, they embellished some of the story points and character arcs that touch more, like Alexander prepping for code veronica and recording the message for someone to stop his daughter, stuff like that. Only thing I didn't like was Alexia killing Alfred, that seemed a step too far, I loved the imagery in the original code veronica of Alexia gently stroking Alfred and singing to him as he dies whilst the tentacles are off doing their worst to claire and steve.

Both Steve and Alfred had improvements in both character and voice acting. Whilst Steve was still cocky and arrogant he was more level headed and was no longer a complainer. His voice acting was a huge improvement this time round, unlike in original game he no longer made my ears bleed.

Alfred was also an improvement. The original Alfred was a bit of a joke villain with his cross dressing and voice. This Alfred was more menacing and could actually be taken seriously as a villain. His voice was still somewhat camp but it also radiated menace and insanity. These three traits combined gave the impression of a truly demented individual.

I didn't like Steve's voice in this game. I thought he sounded too much like a bad anime character (and I watch a lot of anime lol). I liked his old personality better but it was my first RE game to play (which prompted me to play others) so that might have something to do with it lol

I liked Alfred's.

The one that bugged me the most was Alexia's. I thought she sounded too childish and I didn't think it suited her.

I thought Steve's voice was a vast improvement. So much so that I actually *liked* the character!

I didn't feel one way or another about Alfred's voice. I thought it was fine then and fine now.

I liked Alexia's voice in the original better, but I wasn't totally irritated by her voice like I was by Steve's in the original.
