Wow...Congrats, you have now confirmed that you are an idiot, an infamous breed your damn self!!!
I was doing some research for a paper I am writing on Pit Bulls & Parolees and just so happen to see this amazing statement.
I live in New Orleans. I am a student at The University of New Orleans and guess what? I AM ON PAROLE!!!!!When I was in prison I was blessed to be one of the select few that was apart of the unit's dog training program (Paws In Prison,Lockhart,Texas). We received rescue dogs from area shelters. When they first came to us they were so broken, abused, emotionally hurt, and just horrified. Our mission was to clean them up, show them love, keep them safe, provide basic obedience training, service dog training, and sooo much more. All of this was in order to save dogs from being put to sleep and in order to make them adoptable. They are not just adopted to any and everybody. There is an extensive application PROCESS involved with finding these dog's forever homes. Although, the dog's came to us to be rescued, loved, protected, and mended. We INMATES were the ones who received all of this from the dog's. They are so amazing and the impact they make on us is PHENOMENAL. I have never felt the kind of love from a human that i felt from the dogs in the program (all dogs actually). That program made a great impact on my life and my heart.
I LOVE TIA AND HER FAMILY. They go above and beyond in order to rescue dogs, not only around New Orleans, but wherever they can. I support them on Facebook and anywhere else I can. I believe in their mission and I believe in THEM. Comments such as the comment from this piece of *beep* proves the point of why Tia does what she does for the dogs and for parolees."The ones nobody else will give a chance". If people would stop looking at appearance and the past of people involved with this organization, maybe they would get the damn point of it all. IF YOU ARE NOT A PART OF THE SOLUTION-YOU'RE A PART OF THE PROBLEM. If you want to judge someone, you seem to be a damn good place to start.
