Anyone else hate Rosalyn?

I can't stand her. I really thought she should have been sent home in Episode 2 instead of Dan, even though Dan is a tool.

But Rosalyn is beyond annoying. For one, she was so cocky and going on about how she's a "natural leader" and how people always look to her as a leader and we saw none of that. No one in her group embraced her as a leader, and all she did was boss people around. She didn't ask for or take any input from her team members. Then she showed she had no conflict resolution skills with her interaction with Eric. She basically yells at him for something he's not doing, when he points that out she claims he attacked her.

And the kicker was for someone bragging about being such a great leader, when things started going badly, she started crying and making excuses. Yes, that's what you look for in a leader, crying and whining. Even better, she's almost 40.

Please let her get sent home next week.

I feel the same way as you do. Although Dan really is a tool, she should have gone home for many reasons. She is not a leader, being bossy does not make you a leader it makes you annoying and is a sure way of making others hate you. She also did not want to investigate the smell of smoke and she lead that team nowhere. And to top it off she cried and whined. I really hope she is sent home next week!

I liked her in the beginning because she was older and not there for looks and if she had a nice personality then that would have been great to have a different type of woman on the team.

The guys are overweight and unattractive but they have great personalities...just the opposite is true of the two female investigates they have now including the new one, Susan, so Rosalyn was refreshing and she would have been a great addition.

I think she was over compensating, the bossiness was a turn off.

reply

I don't think she was over-compensating, I just think she had a much higher opinion of herself and her leadership abilities than was the reality.

The truth is, she sucked as a leader and displayed no qualities of a good leader at all. It's one thing to have an off night but at no point did she show anything to back up her assertions about herself as a leader. Leaders don't simply boss people around, they don't dismiss their team members' input without consideration, and they certainly don't start crying and making excuses when things get rough.

reply

I don't hate her. I thought she did a great job on the first episode. I didn't see how she got the leader role. I thought Eric would have gotten it.

But this episode she was really annoying to me. She was bossy, thought she was great leader and so on. She was just over doing it. Like jumping on Eric for moving like what 5 or so feet from her. Then with the smoke thing. She didn't want to check it out.

reply

I am so surprised that she is still around. She really is terrible and unlikeable to boot.

reply

I agree... at first I thought it was nice to have an older investigator who might have more worldly experience than the teenie-boppers from last season. But she is a pretty bad leader. Very pushy.

I've fallen behind watching so I'm over a week behind. I just now saw the June 23 episode and it's great that she's gone.

It was the second episode in a row she had been missing "evidence" and the best part was her being a pompous jerk to the end. Her parting interview where she pretty much acted like she was the best and saying they had made a mistake was classic.

The only mistake they made was choosing you for the show in the first place, or at the least not canning you in Week 2.

I liked her the first episode. But it seems like as soon as she was made "team leader" she got on her high horse. since then her attitude was unatractive.

She also isn't very "with it". How many times did Steve, Tango and even Jay catch something in the footage and it turned out to be something that Rosalyn was taking care of and completely missed??

The missed 'evp's I can understand... most of them are utter crap, simply echos or other mechanical/acoustic noise. I would skip over them too. 'oh, look, you listened to 6 hours of tape, and you missed this little rumble amid all the white noise'. gimme a break. Its one thing if the evp is clearly saying 'hey, get out of here', but just little blips - I bet you could go through any of the tapes Dave and Tango supposedly review and find several they 'missed' as well.

I can KIND of understand that, too (1 missed evp...) but after they caught something I had missed I would have paid very special attention the next time and all times after. Also, perhaps she has seen the show... How many things that Dave/Tango see, actually MAKE it to the reveal and are NOT dismissed by J&G??

Wasn't Rosalyn also the one that completely missed the light anomaly the first episode? That was a video and Stevie Wonder could have caught that!
