Ok, did i miss something? Spoiler alert

"As days go by, Laura crosses out the days on a calendar, revealing her secret past to her lover." So what is the secret? That she wanted to commit suicide, or that her father took her virginity when she was twelve, or what? I think the revelation was cut from my version ;^)

If you should feel really happy, be patient. It will pass.

The revelation wasn't explicit. She reveals that the date is significant because of her father's death and later that she lost her virginity at 12. Although I assumed there was some trauma regarding her father I didn't get that she had been raped/abused by him either until I read other posters' remarks. Their comments made sense because of her sexual behaviour.

Why problem make? When you no problem have, you don't want to make ...

This is what I thought when I watched it. Arturo doesn't ask her a lot about her past, and she is very hesitant to answer and evasively says, "Why do you want to know?" Given the fact that she is his submissive, the hesitancy and silences are particularly telling---there is pain and shame that she doesn't want to reveal to anyone.

Yep definitely how I took it. The father was sexually abusing her from age 12, maybe on.

Raul obviously didn't know, and she was still protecting him from that. (I gathered this from when she says "I used to think my dad was such a great man...", opening the door a little; and Raul's like "He was a great man!" and then she just lets it go and wipes away a tear). So she was alone in her pain. But with his visit, seeing how much he needs her in his life, she decides to keep on keepin on.

To me, too...when she scratched that day out in red, my first thought was "suicide." I agree the way the summary is worded is a bit misleading, it's not like she revealed her secret past to him. More like, he could probably draw the connection (like the audience did). The dark revelation to him, in my eye, is that she was f-ed up and miserable enough to actually want to be murdered by him.

Is it possible the brother is the one who was sexually abused and she actually killed her father because of that (thus losing her virginity/innocence by killing him?

Yes of course its possible...

....anything is possible when the filmmaker leaves so much of the story untold. Personally, seems lazy as hell to me. I wish he had put more into telling the story and a little less into the porno scenes.
