Poor Janel Moloney, she's so talented and hot but the movie was just too *beep* up and is basically set up on such an odd premise that I never could just get comfortable and watch it.

No. Just no.
For the record, I thought The Hangover sucked too (no characterization, just a vehicle for them to show off who's famous these days and really lazy writing) but just because a movie is independent does not mean that it's good. The writing was bad, and the whole concept was not very funny at all, just creepy.
I'm well aware that it's a real medical issue, but it never translated well to make comedy from my standpoint.
