Better than most sequels

This year, I'm reviewing my 31 favorite horror movie sequels every day of October. And of course, I'm including Paranormal Activity 2. Full review here: http://myvinylmuse.com/horror-sequel-marathon-paranormal-activity-2-2010/

Even after five years, it's one of my favorite horror sequels. Although from favorite to least favorite:

PA 2
PA 1
Marked Ones
PA4

I still haven't seen Ghost Dimension, but I'm hearing terrible things about it. Anyway, how do you guys feel PA stacks up with other horror sequels? What's your favorite horror movie sequel?

I thought it was your pretty typical horror sequel like Friday the 13th and Halloween II. It's the same basic formula of the first film but with a couple new characters and just enough twists so that isn't a remake. I'm not saying that's a bad thing as this was a pretty decent sequel, but that's usually how it goes with horror movies. I'll be watching Ghost Dimension later this week for the first time so it'll be interesting to see how it ranks, but this is how I'd rank them so far:

-PA 1
-PA 3
-PA 2
-PA 4
-The Marked Ones

I'm slightly biased cause Sprague Grayson is the best actress in the franchise, and I do enjoy her other work too. But yeah I think pa2 is the best in the franchise for repeated viewings

Part 3 is good too but it's 1 that suffers the most on rewatch

Virtually nothing happens for 70 minutes. But I do think Micah and Katie had good and believable chemistry.

I'm only just catching up on these sequels, and I liked this one, some good suspense, it's as good as the first one, certainly no worse.
