Liv's looks are at best mediocre and her personality was just about as flat as her face in this movie. Boring!!!!!! Way too much of a pansy and pushover too. The character of Gavin was fun, cute, passionate. Why take an interest in Liv and certainly why die for her? Eeeeek.

It wasn't about her looks.

#1 - He went after her as a F you to the husband
#2 - Then later, he was trying to fill the void from blaming himself for his child's death and broken marriage

She had same pain he did so she filled that void

I like Liv Tyler, but I must agree that her character was quite lame and the way she spoke in this movie was really annoying.
