Ridiculous

The users who reviewed this movie are a bunch of doorknobs. I'm in no way saying this is the worst movie I've ever seen(Dead Girl), and I'm not even saying its on the same level as the worst movies I've seen. I will say this movie was brutal, but not nearly as brutal as the user reviews. The people who say they know, and understand what it was about. No, you don't know what really happened. You can't say that the guy was insane(he was, but who wouldn't be if they were truly seeing that crap), he made it all up in his head(assumption, and we all know what happens when you assume), and that Kate died in the hall from injuries she suffered struggling with looney for the knife in the tub(were u watching the directors cut, bc my movie only showed her getting cut on the leg). Sure that could really be what happened, but that's not what happened in the movie, that's what happened in the movie u were watching inside your head. I can just as easily say Kate was killed by demon clowns... Prego's spirit was loose in the building, and 2 WEEKS AGO when Alex & Kate went to David's house they brought with them an evil spirit that latched onto David bc he was a sensitive... David was the only person who could see everything bc he was an unknowing sensitive... The Demons tricked David by projecting images into his mind when he looked at the photos... Sarah was killed by the same demon clowns that got Kate... The demon tricked David into thinking Sarah was having an affair so David would have to go stay with Alex in the bldg., The pictures didn't look that inviting, possibly planted in her bag with her phone while she was supposed to be out of town(who leaves their cell phone, incriminating photos, and their nap sack on the bed when they leave town)... Maybe it was David who started the web cam, and the shadow they saw b4 everything went black was the same shadow that David had been seeing... The shadow could have been the demon spirit of Prego's husband... Prego could of been a helpfull entity, she tried to warn them b4 all hell broke loose, she told David after she realized she was dead that she came earlier to warn him, she could of possibly even come to Kate in her dreams b4 David arrived. Kate did say "don't open it" in her sleep b4 the door bell... All of the small details tie into Alex & Kate's bldg being haunted., the lights go off on their own in the flat, but not in the hall... when David first arrives the camera focuses up the stairs after the bulb malfunctions, when they go in the hall the light turns off on its own, then we see the switch move on its own. Alex continually insist he saw something in the kitchen, he won't say what, but he will say it wasn't a monster... They even make reference to how brave and fearless David used to be...
And above all else, David just only appears insane bc of what he is seeing, that and the fact he didn't sleep for 2 weeks.
Why is it that all you knobs think you have the answer, bc its more rational to say David killed his girl and went crazy, How could that make more sense? The movie is called "The Possesion" of David O'riley right, not "The Psychosis" of David O'riley? Why would Alex & Kate repeatedly let the viewers know they were at David's house 2 weeks ago? Where does prego fit in to the psychotic break claim, she lived in the empty flat above Alex, David wouldn't of known her face, or the fact she was murdered by her husband after he cut out their baby, and b4 taking his own life(possibly releasing his evil soul into the building).
The "Plot Summary" on IMDB says
"A supernatural shockumentary about a demonic presence in a young couple's home in London." Nowhere in that summary does it say anything about psychosis, it also only talks about the demonic presence being in Alex & Kate's home.(which makes the possibility of them bringing it to David's house all the more probable). The "Plot Summary" on Netflix says. "A married couple offer refuge to a distraught friend, only to discover he is a magnet for supernatural forces that threaten their lives" once again nothing about a man going through a psychotic break from reality after killing his wife.(It states David is a magnet to the supernatural again strengthening the possibility Alex & Kate brought the demon to him when they visited 2 weeks earlier).
I personally don't think the movie was made about David being possessed. There is just way too much focus on him acting bat *beep* crazy all movie.
I also don't believe they intentionally made the movie to appear as if David murdered Sarah, and then went psycho killing Alex & Kate while suffering from delusions. What I do think is they had a great idea for a movie, but somewhere they lost their way. Either scenario could have been a great movie, but in trying to create something artistic, they botched the whole damn thing.
If you watch this movie, pay attention to all the details, and try to intelligently break it down... all you end up doing is ruining the whole damn thing. But, If you just throw all sense to the wind, and mindlessly watch this film taking it for what it is. You might just like it. Afterwards You will find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat, just staring at a blank screen, while wondering to yourself "WTF just happened here". Then if your lucky, you might still be able to catch some Jersey shore reruns, and officially make it a full "day of rest" for your brain.

I agree...the film's description alone tells what the basis of this film is about!
ITS SUPERNATURAL! Why does everyone question this?!

Description aside even, I agree 100% that the film itself reveals details all throughout the film. The 'Don't open it' statement that Kate says twice is a major indicator. The articles upstairs, another. The fact that David showed absolutely NO signs of being remotely unhinged up until then is a HUGE indicator.

The film gives indications (red herrings obviously) that David might be crazy up ONLY until we see the end.
The ending makes it clear he was RIGHT, it was demons.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

the description alone tells us nothing, what are you talking about???
you do know that to be mentally ill is also called possession, it wasn't
that long ago that we stopped calling it that. so saying that is must be
supernatural by the title is total crap.
the only thing you can can throughout the whole film that could be taken
as supernatural is the very last scene were the girl is cut up when she
wasn't before, and both men were dead.

Yeah, none of that happened. That's exactly your point, you filled in most of these gaps yourself.
