Holy crap! Those articles on their wall are true?!

I just read in an interview that the grisly (especially grisly: the one about the baby! ) articles on the wall of Anna's apartment were true!
The filmmakers found real articles for the film...your skin crawls even more to think of it!

So we created a vaguely fictional story based on these events – breakdown, murder, even the scene with Anna – which are based on real events

As for "based on real events", remember The Amityville Horror? Wasn't that all true too?

...it's just another dumb film, get over it.
