How is a child killing two adults some kind of big deal? Especially when it's self defense? Especially when the kid grows up to be a cop?

Good question. And why the hell does that girl give a crap? I mean she saw the crack head breaking down the door going after him.

Actually, yeah, good point. She saw it all go down and besides, the poor kid offed a total scumbag so who the heck cares?

Maybe she cared because crimes were being committed in her neighbourhood and those who were hired to serve and protect were neither serving nor protecting?? Your question is one of the stupidest questions I think I've seen on the imbd boards...

Milk and Vinny are endoctrinated to hate and fear cops. They do not believe they will receive fair treatment and could end up incarcerated in a juvenile detention center. Also, there is the fear if Hanky's friends find out Milk killed him, there could be retaliation. That's how impoverished neighborhoods work.

The girl (and entire community) hated the cops, especially the two head cops - Pacino and Liotta. She wanted to use their attitude towards the people of the community as a way to bring them down. She didn't think it would blowback on Vinny or Milk (although that was stupid on her part).
