such a great cast, why scrape the bottom of the barrel in directors

With such a great cast and a good script, they must have had a big budget. why go for such a lame director who seems hell bent on making a cheesy TV movie of the week? how about some passion dude?! Show some interest in what you're doing?
Still a decent film because of the acting of Tommy and Meryl and the script. could have been really good.
