Nothing but a bunch of liberal claptrap

My daughter convinced me into watching this even though I knew in advance it would be nothing but pure leftist propaganda. I guess on the bright side, it was a really bad movie anyway. Jokes on you, libs.

reply

And, how is it in your slum? Good internet connection?

reply

I don't live in a slum honey, I WORK my butt off for a living. ANd I don't need government handouts to survive.

reply

It doesn't matter if you spend 20h a day digging holes in the park to find gold. You won't find gold there. Not everybody has the "option" to work their ass off.

If this would be so easy then there would be no slums, since the available "work" would always exceed the available pressure to get out of a bad neighborhood.

Many times people don't have options, because there aren't any. If there is no option left, then its either helping or dying.

I have no problems with a total survival of the fittest society (sorry dear, I bought all water you have to watch your children die horribly of thirst). Don't know anyone who wants to run around with a pumpgun ready and loaded to get their kids to school, but I'm guessing for some this is "freedom".

For others the phrase "No handouts" is just a cowardly version of "why aren't you dead yet?"

I wonder where a writer / director who grew up in apartheid era South Africa got the crazy idea that a wealthy minority might opress a poor majority population, denying them opportunity and such things as healthcare no matter how hard they worked.

If you had been a black South African 30 years ago (or african American 70 years ago) you might actually know how the world works instead of spouting self-entitled claptrap.

reply

Yes, and now that South Africans are free from White rule, they are so much better off? Wouldn't that be great, if it were true. Now the whole country is poor and crime is at its highest.

reply

There's nothing special or unique about you. How's your 401K? Most menial labor jobs don't have that option. Since you don't need "handouts" I suppose you'll forfeit Social Security and Medicaid.

Men's rights in modern English translates to: "unsuccessful with women" or the Hebrew "cupcake"

All I saw was a movie nobody is thinking about no politics. Propaganda or not you saw what you what YOU wanted to see. This is a site to about movies not who leans left or right or in the middle. You need to save that topic for your friends you hv lunch with. Take it to a political forum, make a YouTube video, a Facebook page, don't forget to tweet about it. You choose the hashtag to attract like minded people. Have a great day & don't forget to vote

choose the hashtag. I say this because you can say what you want, express yourself & more. that way you hv a audience of people. I for one don't want to see this type of crap

reply

Yes my prior post is jacked but you can figure it out.. lol

How is it "liberal claptrap" when the Elysian villain is a blonde female politician serving the 1%, hacking her way to the presidency, opposing universal healthcare, etc. Dead ringer for Hillary Clinton

What is it like, looking at the world through a series of labels?

Do you walk down the street, and label every person you meet? "African American Straight Male, Caucasian Lesbian Woman, Young Hispanic Boy"?

Using the label "Liberal" against this film, your assumption is that the "Liberals" all got together and plotted to make this film, as a piece of propaganda to promote the "Liberal" agenda.

Do you even HEAR yourself talking? Do you even understand just how RIDICULOUS you actually sound?

Do you HATE liberals? Do you wish all liberals would disappear, leaving you, the Conservatives, victorious in your battle for the Ultimate Point of View?

Labels belong in filing cabinets. The use of labels on people is nothing but a form of hatred. Worse than that, it's a form of prejudice. You went into this film already assuming what it was before you watched it. You saw what you wanted to support your claim, and now you voice your opinion, hoping that other people share your opinion so you can feel better about yourself.

Well, I'm not one of them. This was not a piece of propaganda. Human beings all have the same desires, no matter how much money they have in the bank. It's sad to see so many people hate this film just because of how terribly judgmental we've all become.

I can understand why a bunch of human beings born in a poverty-stricken, overpopulated Earth would bear resentment and rebel against the upper class, who could save their lives effortlessly simply by pushing a button. If you can't, well...

That's just sad.

Please. I don't need some dumb lib telling me about labels as he calls me ridiculous. Irony much?

I don't hate libs. I just wish they'd grow up and learn how the world works.

reply

Please yourself. I don't need some idiot telling me about anything when he clearly has nothing interesting to say other than how much he hates a certain type of people while claiming he doesn't actually hate a type of person.

Prejudiced much?

If you're referring to THE HOUSE OF THE BLACK SUNSET, then yes, unfortunately.

I put in some very graphic sexual references, I had rape, I had homosexual characters and touched on homosexual sex. The primary story is about Lucifer's final attempt at overthrowing God's kingdom, and I get the feeling that I kind of went a little too far offending the hell out of everybody with it, but I felt like I shouldn't have held anything back when I wrote it.

I had straight sex in there as well, but I don't think I realized how touchy the idea of religion was in this country, and I REALLY didn't understand just how hateful people were, either. I suppose you'd see a different version of the book if I had finished it post-Trump.

But hey, it's my first attempt. I'm almost finished with my second novel, and I hope that people won't use my first shot as a reason not to read the second. It won't have anything to do with what I wrote in SUNSET, it will be a completely different book, written with a much simpler style and not nearly as much graphic material.

The sad part is, I explicitly put a Foreword in the book, explaining how I intended it all as fiction. The only reason I decided to go so graphic with it all is because it was dealing primarily with sin, so I tried to make the themes as sinful as possible. But I guess I went too far.

Anyway. Sorry for such a long answer. But yeah. That's the deal.

"Leftist"... Try human.

Everything is black or white to you? No gray? Anyone who doesn't fit inside your narrow-minded world view is a "liberal"? Don't think you realize just how ignorant you and all the others who throw that facile label around sound.

So sick and tired of that limiting, judgmental mindset.

Ignorance is bliss... 'til it posts on the Internet, then, it's annoying.

reply

I have to assume you are living in the USA because you don't seem to know what "liberal" actually means. No offence, but this is rather comical to me.
