Overall i enjoyed this show.....the only thing that did niggle me though was the fact that i thought the aliens on the moon looked a bit TOO alien-ish, bearing in mind it is literally only a stones throw away from Earth!

I wouldn't say the Moon is a stone's throw from Earth. Unless you coat it in Cavorite first, I suppose.
I loved the aliens in this because they looked and move so similarly to those in the 1964 film, a favourite of mine since childhood. I assume they were done in the same way, using stop-motion animation. (Could have been CGI, though. Wasn't totally sure 'cause I watched it on YouTube, and the picture wasn't clear enough.)
