I don't know what everyone else throught but I felt it had none of the bounce and jollyness of the original - it was so sentimental and dull.
Dani was good but I liked her a lot more when he was younger... and while it was nice to have Mike back I felt it didn't work with the new croud...

i expected some of the other kids to still be at the dumping ground, but after 2yrs or so they have all gone somehow

shareThere's only been one episode, though, I quite liked it. Brought back memories of watching the old show when I was younger. Though I'll admit I would have liked for some of the old kids to have still been there as well.

I would have expected at least one or two of the kids to still be there and un-fostered, obviously not Justine or her roomate from the last series, but one of the younger ones. And, possibly, bouncer there being one of the adults, like the chef or something.
like you i would love to see the return of bouncer and to see how his life panned out. it's intresting to see tracy beaker as an adult and not totally grown up, but getting there slowly!

This show is ok, but definitely not as good as the original. I really think that the quality of British children's show are seriously lacking at the moment - there are only a few kids show that have recently blown me away; Spirit Warriors on cbbc, Roman Mysteries on cbbc.. And that's about it really. There aren't a lot I can think of! Except cartoons. Lol.

I agree TB Returns is nowhere near as good as the old series. It would have been slightly better if some of the old cast were included.
Though i do like the kid who plays Toby and Liam as their both strong actors but by far my favourite is the almost ridculously cute Harry played by Phillip Graham Scott.
Books and movies are apples and oranges, there both delicious but dont taste the same (Steven King)
harry is so cute he got lovely blond hair how has he not been fostered yet
