Was LSD (or DMT) being used in the 1966 scene?

I noticed that Barry had a chemical dropped onto his tongue. Just wondering, was it LSD or DMT? The only reason that makes me think that it wasn't LSD, is because of how quickly the effects took hold. I speculate that it could've been DMT. But as far as I know, DMT isn't the kind of drug that is used as a liquid, that you can simply drop on your tongue, and begin feeling effects. I can't help but wonder what kind of drug was used. The possibilities seem endless.

Any thoughts? Speculations?

DMT has to be inhaled or taken via needle, so it must be LSD or similar compound, which was also used for MKUltra, so that would be my guess. DMT requires and MAO inhibitor to prevent your body from naturally digesting the psychoactive compounds (like the drink Ayahuasca)
