Anyone know of any newer films (2000 + ) that are similar to Beyond the Black Rainbow? Besides Gaspar Noe's Enter the Void.

I really wanted to like 'Under the Skin', but I found it to just be frustrating and silly. Thanks for the list though, I can't believe I missed 'A Field in England'.

What about Purge by David King? It as an experimental film but made for much less than Beyond The Black Rainbow. In fact, it was probably made for the cost of catering on this film. An intellectual sci fi film you should check out.

Ex Machina (2015)
To an extent.
It's not so much visual as those two but it's style feels inspired by Tarkovsky or Kubrick perhaps.
And setting is very similar - girl in an isolated facility. Voyeurism. Torture.
