An evil heart and the return to the path (spoiler)

Hey everyone, I have just seen the film.

I really loved the film for its great portrayal and message of one aspect, how a man with much evil in heart, can turn completely around and return to the path of "enlightenment", to use a metaphor.

This is rarely shown in this way, as Shaolin's two main examples (Hou Jie and Cao Man) had much depth in the way we saw their experiences and development.

Seeing a man going from a path of self-destruction, fear, ego and hate to one of spiritual growth and evolution, is truly something powerful. In terms of reality, such a moment must be joyous for the whole.

Anyone else who has thought of this? Would like to hear your thoughts :)

that was a quick change in the heart, not so cogent and logical for me.

Specialis_Sapientia,
well, you basically said what is the plot of the movie.
all you said is what we saw, there is nothing metaphorical about that.

ozkannoyan-1,

what i saw in the movie was very convincing. he lost his own daughter in front of his eyes because of his actions, and he knew it.
also what we see in the movie isnt a 2 day thing, it seems like it because its a movie but the time "in there" was much longer than that.
