How much is Jackie Chan in this?

I notice the poster says "Special Appearance by Jackie Chan"

I assume that might mean one scene and nothing more.

not an important character.
He did not even shave his head for playing a role of a monk.

he is not a serious actor.

Maybe he didn't have a significant-enough roll to shave his head. How many scenes was he in?? Was he even an actual monk in the movie?

reply

Caught the movie in the theater tonight.

He plays a monk and a has a very memorable supporting role.

He's in the movie early on four about 7 minutes total, and then again for roughly the same amount of time at the end for a pretty cool fight sequence.

I was under the impression that we wasn't even sure he wanted to stay at the temple and be a monk and was continuously conflicted on the matter, so having a head not shaved made sense for the character.

I must be the only person alive that watched this movie because I was interested in the plot and not for Jackie Chan. I didn't even know he was in it until he popped up on screen. I like the movie for itself, not for 10 minutes of Chan screen time. And a really hokey action sequence, if I may say.

Same here. I did not even know he was in this movie, I watched it for the plot with Nicholas Tse and Andy Lau being a great bonus. I agree that Chan's fighting scene was silly and not keeping up with the very serious and dark tone of the movie.
