'Miranda' Is British Television At Its Worst!

British television is officially history. "Miranda" is the perfect example of what is passable for British humor these days: NOT FUNNY!

How embarrassing!

I'm sure we'll survive.

Thanks for stopping by.

Right, so you saw fit to watch it and then come to an obscure message board to tell us that?

I think we're getting some idea of what your time is worth.

Different people like different things.

What were you expecting?

I think it's a good solid watchable 30 minutes of TV.

Like many people have said, you don't need to think. It's easy to watch.

I am currently watching the repeats and I think I like them more than I did originally.

Some parts might make you cringe but only because they make Miranda cringe too.

I think the cast work very well with each other.

It is currently the highlight of my TV week.

@rebel5..ITA. I tried sitting through an episode but it the writing was so very weak and the jokes not funny(to me). I know what they are trying to do here tall gawky Bridget Jones character fumbling through adulthood but it's just not funny(to me). Same shows over and over again on the Beeb...just who is this show supposed to appeal to anyways? C'mon Beeb! get out of your time warp!

Was looking for shows to start watching when I came upon this.
British Comedy Awards 2010
Best New British TV Comedy: Miranda

It is just painful to watch, and not in a good way like The Office.
It's pretty sad to see that this can be considered one of the best shows Britain has to offer.

i think you have to be in the demographic, middle aged women.

i and think its embarasingly bad but my aunt and 85 year old nan loves it.

when i first saw it i thought it was a spoof like 'when the wistle blows' in Extras. but no it really is just low brow cliche ridden and terrible.

The problem with Miranda Hart on the whole, is that she is just so irritating. Shes like a 7ft Lurch lesbian, who falls over, gives a funny look to the camera and suddenly every finds it hilarious.

The only thing worse than this *beep* is Mrs Browns Boys which again, is just full of 'fecks' with a forced irish accent and a transvestite which again, is totally unfunny.

Miranda.
Piss out funny.
Reminds me of Frankie Howerd in UP Pompeii.
In a good way.

Hey, don't dump this dreadful show on us! I vaguely remember this woman from the few episodes I saw of Call the Midwife and then in the Sunday New York Times Hart was interviewed for a movie she is making here in the States. So ... I decided to check out her show on YouTube. Yikes, not my cup of tea at all. Puerile in the extreme. The last Brit comedy I saw was Getting On (2009), which is hilarious.

Nope, My Hero was.

Miranda is enjoyable. Different strokes for different folks.

It's light hearted family comedy. Simple but fun but not perfect.

The 7.9 rating says something else. People love it!

I don't watch Miranda. There isn't much good on television these days. From the trailers I've been seeing on TV. Miranda looks like such a gormless character.
