Well Done Documentary

Gathering material from 60+ years and integrating that into a documentary had to be quite daunting. I enjoyed hearing all this history and learning about the depth of the man. So well done.

Seeing Debbie Reynolds in the movie was quite a treat. I wish there had been at least one more clip with her but I expect the logistics of editing so much history creates limitations.

There were many, many enjoyable clips: Rex Reed, John Waters, Connie Stevens, Rona Barrett, and on and on, as well has wonderful archive footage including Jimmy Durante and Natalie Wood. Again, What a treat!

I would LOVE to see this. Released in March? what happened to it? Is it going to be released on DVD? That's the only way I can watch it.

It's about to come out (no pun intended) in 60 markets across the country soon. Then probably on VOD and netflix and DVD.

Just watched this wonderful documentary on Netflix. Kind of fell in love with Tab Hunter watching it, or at least the person portrayed in this film. Not a nasty word to say about anyone, he seems to be a lovely, down-to-earth and gentle man.

Whenever I decide I may as well drop Netflix as there's so little I want to watch, up pops something like this that I've been eager to see for months and makes my subscription worthwhile.

By the end of the film I wished I could be friends with this lovely guy. What sweet company he must be! :)

He did come across as a lovely person. This was particularly evident in his nonjudgmental approach to discussing Tony Perkins' marriage and family.

Yes, you are right, keanuslut, especially considering Perkins' monumental betrayal of Tab Hunter regarding the script for Fear Strikes OUt. Wow! Most people would be cursing him out but Tab was very philosophical about it. Considering that Tab got very few really excellent roles, I wouldn't blame him for being really bitter and angry about it. And he may well have been at the time, but he certainly kept it to himself in this film. Very admirable.

Just watched it on Netflix. It was AMAZING! I remember Tab more from the later movies Polyester and Lust in the Dust. I even saw Lust in the Dust on the big screen as a teenager. It was a wonderful & funny movie. So glad it got made and in the process Tab found his partner of 30 years.

And yes very well done. Way to go Tab Hunter! What a GREAT life you've had. Thanks for coming out and being so honest.

And yes Tab was very civil/beautiful about being non judgmental when Tab visited Tony all those years later. We all have our different paths in life.
