A Better Movie Than The Rating Suggests

The acting could be better at times but this movie is better than the current rating of 4 point 0.

I felt the acting was quite good. And like you, I was very surprised to see the low rating. It's 4.2 now as I write this. This was a very well-done modern "Western" drama. The mood was mesmerizing, and captured me in much the same way Winter's Bone did a couple of years back. Excellent film. These are the types of gems I look for in my Netflix streaming.

Go within, or go without.

Another good reason to pay no attention to the ratings on IMDB. I've rarely, if ever, seen one I agree with. It's also why I prefer to read reviews after seeing a film, instead of before. If you let others decide for you, you will likely miss a lot of good entertainment. Or wind up watching things you'll wish you hadn't.

I agree that this movie deserves a MUCH better rating. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the cinematography was quite good as well. I would give it a 6.8 in real terms but a 7 because I really thought it was so heart-warming.

The acting was fine except for Victoria Pratt who plays Pickett's girlfriend...Oh my gosh..She was so self conscious and totally unnatural as an actress. And kept using her mouth to express her emotions in ways that really bugged me..But I have to say that she is totally athletic and fit....

Also I have to say that Jay Pickett is a total hottie!! And I thought he was a pretty good actor....

I agree with everything said about this movie, except for Victoria Pratt's acting. She is a good actress and portrayed her character well. I like her, I like her smile, and see nothing wrong with her using her face as part of her overall acting.

Life is a journey not a destination. Fear nothing.

An actress is always going to use her face and mouth to express emotions...Of course...It is the WAY she used her mouth to express certain emotions that seemed very unnatural to me...
