Great Concept! but the movie isn't so great

Just like I said in the title.

ITs main concept saved the half of the movie.

Whole story line seems too contrived especially the very last 1 minute.

Too many characters were left out with not enough development or explanation.

I think the main aim of this movie is supposed to makes you feel very disturbing
yet I wasn't quite disturbed..

Direction, editing, acting were all watchable but wasn't quite impressive.

Still I am giving it 6/10 as I see this as a valuable try to extend boundaries of

Korean movie industry.

I agree with the above. It could have been a great movie but the execution wasn't great (I didn't even like the editing!). Interesting story but characters were lacking depth, and there is no connection between you and any of them (or at least that's how I felt), so I didn't really care what happened to whom. I wouldn't discard this film completely, but not something I would watch again.

I just caught this movie on Netflix and was sorely disappointed as I am a fan of Korean movies and parallel lives sounded very interesting but this one was pretty bad. Something told me it was going to be bad in the very beginning scene when they had the Dr. writing out the formula for his theory and the director employed some flashback cut scene strobe effect to make it seem like a thrilling moment, this strobe effect was used very often in the fim and made it look cheap and out of place often, especially when the scene was not that compounding. When we finally are told who is who and their motives, that was a whole other let down as it was nothing new or different and didnt make much sense. I dont know much about how the law and police system work over there but I'd think a judge who had his wife brutally murdered would have a bit more help and protection from the govt, particarly when he cant fight to save his life, I had a hard time believeing he'd have to be his own Dick Tracy to figure all that out. I gave this movie a 5,
