The scene in the motel. (SPOILERS.)

When Bill and Kate are shouting over Sam and the reason why he did it...

That scene was so powerful. I was literally brought to the edge of my chair. Especially during Kate's dialogue. It was just... fantastic. I'm literally speechless.

Stephen King: "Stephenie Meyer can't write."

Agreed, it was epic.

kate's dialogue felt completely inauthentic and hammy to me.

I hope it doesn't sound wrong but I really love Maria Bello's screaming. Somehow I could sense authenticity (of the situation she's in) in it, unlike young girls in horror who, mostly, scream for the sake of snatching 'scream queen' title.

'World Trade Center' is another example, the whole sequence where she's at the police station and she says 'This is not right!'. Besides this, yes, the motel scene in this film displays the talent of these two very underrated actors in the movie business today.

When her husband broke the cd that Sam sent them, that really hit hard
