I felt for the little cousin

The adults in this poor little boy's life didn't have the wherewithal to give him a head's up. So that when he went to Sunday School, everyone told him he was going to go to hell.

Now, without addressing the children's poison in this horrible situation, don't you think that at least one of the adults (his father, in particular) would have explained to him that his cousin did something that people are going to be very angry about. They are hurt and in a lot of pain and they may take it out on you. But, understand, it's not you that they are angry at..."

A little statement or opening to a frank discussion on the little cousin's level would prevent hundreds of thousands of dollars in therapy and medication later.

I'm just sayin'...

As far as the issue of bullying - it would have been good to address it but it would have taken the focus away from the point of the movie. This was the parent's story and I really, really appreciated that.

The worst bullies are Christians.

Agreed. Mostly because they believe they're in the right for it. I think the worst monsters believe they're in the right and they hide in plain sight.
