I actually thought the parents' initial reaction was kind of underwhelming. I was expecting fainting, crying, screaming, and pulling hair out for hours on end.
Half fan, half troll.
They were in severe shock. You'd have to be. The emotions and feelings came later after the situation sank in.
shareIt irritated me how they didn't immediately go to the school and wait to see if their son was hurt or killed from the shooting. Wouldn't you think parents would be a bit more concerned for their child's life than to just think staying at home and waiting it out would be the best option!
Everybody has his or her own reaction. Some people make a big histrionic show, others take things quietly and internally even though they're suffering just as much.
