Has a US team ever won a Battle of the year?
Its always been dominated by Korean and Japanese teams. Also, Germans and French teams have always had strong showings. Americans don't breakdance anymore so I don't see them winning it.
shareAmerica is in the consumer business. They suck the culture then re-imitate it for the mainstream audience, hence why this movie hardly showed any Blacks (especially dark-skinned) or Puerto Ricans from the US side. Mainstream audiences still has a problem with these groups, meanwhile they want to make a movie excluding their image....bad move.
That's what they do here; suck the culture, re-appropriate it with the image they want, and cast out the source from which it came. The reason other countries have had a better time embracing it, is because they've dedicated more time to work passed the racial and social stigmas then the US has. A lot of artist still have to go to France, and Germany, and Japan to get any real Hip Hop love....STILL today.
That's why the US Breakin culture took a hit....the consumer elites cut off the nose, despite it's face.
