No, it doesn't sound much like Benjamin Button. If anything, Paa sounds a lot like the Robin Williams film "Jack".
Same SHlT, diffrent days :)

Benjamin Button is about a man who ages backwards.
Paa is about a boy who, for scientifically known reasons, is old too soon. No, that does not make them "the same" or "versions of each other."
The story reminds me of that of "Jack," though I'm reluctant to accuse it of plagiarism having not even seen the film (i.e., "Paa"); I do hope it isn't just a rip-off...
sharehonestly though, would you expect anything different from indian producers?
shareu prick, have pride in being Indian...Hollywood remakes lesser known foreign movies and nobody bats an eyelid.
shareThe reason why nobody bats a eyelid is because unlike Bollywood, hollywood remakes gives due credit to originals and actually buy the copyright to make the remake.
If Bollywood did the same, nobody would bat an eyelid there too.
There is nothing wrong with remakes. It's the fact when plagiarism is celebrated as original creative initiatives is what ticks most people off.
Have not seen Paa, so I would reserve judgment on whether it's complete rip off, but by the early looks the first similarity that is between Jack and Paa is the fact of accelerated aging. Jack was about the relationship between his friends and their acceptance. Maybe they deal with something aspect here.
It's not like Jack. I've never seen anything like Paa, and Amitabh is amazing.
